Julia and Nat came to Great Bernera in 2018.
They came from Birmingham, where they had spent their working lives in film and media production. They came in a van, which they lived in on the croft for longer than they had planned, on land that didn't yet have electricity or running water.
Neither of them had farmed before. Neither of them pretended otherwise.
